So I couldn't think up a more inventive title, but it sums up pretty much what this post is all about... Spring vibes are definitely all around but little hints of winter are still inescapable (especially in the mornings and night). It is my favourite time of year - the most active simultaneously "skirt permissible" and "leather jacket permissible" point in the weather spectrum. As I mentioned in the last post, the spring air has really conditioned me into a "white out" serial offender. Tasfia is wearing her current favourite white/camel/blue denim combo - a colour wave that works uncannily well together.

Scroll through the blog a few moments and you'll quickly realise that there are two genres of tops I rely on the most - (1) The strapless bustier, (2) the crop top. Then, let your gaze be a tad more discerning and you'll notice my favourite colour to sport as spring blossoms Is white. If you then let your eyes zoom in a bit more while browsing, you'll soon pick up that the currently trending pattern/print in my books is check.... And so, when all these fashun paradigms I so love intersect simultaneously in one piece as perfect as this origami-esque cut-out bustier, you can understand why  I am so smitten with this little Keepsake number. I can't wait to truly optimise my wear out of this bustier as this warm weather continues to escalate :D

Over the last few years, I've been dedicated to building up a wardrobe of lively, whimsical prints and patterns and unique silhouettes. BUT, in the process, I've unconsciously neglected building up a closet-backbone of timeless, simple, easy pieces to construct my outfits around. The reality is that no matter how pretty an interesting, 'loud' print is - after a while, you can easily tire of it because its impact comes on so strong,  that as time passes it can become overwhelming. These days I've been turning it down a decibel and have become a little more invested in finding subtly impactful, interesting yet simple pieces that  can be worn tirelessly in different combos (despite the tempting siren calls of the seductive print world) - this MLM satin top is one of the newest fruits of my labour - I'm smitten with its delightful back line,  embossed polka-dots and its 'just the right amount' of slouchiness to tick both my sass and comfiness requirements.

This post goes out to lazy late Sunday brunch attire - A fashion sect that my unnatural fondness for the brunch paradigm has made me terribly familiar with over the last few years... I'm all about finding those  'fool-proof', 'no-brainer' pieces that look spunky in just about every combination and permutation -  simple, indulgent 'basic' pieces with interesting textures and patterns that will long endure my constantly wavering style preferences... The exact kinda pieces that belong in this genre are, by example, this slick pair of May the Label leather pants (perfect combination of slouchiness, comfiness and spunkiness) and Tasfia's Rag and Bone knit!

The spring sun has made a comeback (although obscured by clouds here) and so my bustier-obsessed tendencies have awoken from their winter-hibernation. This infatuation kinda stems from my theory that the 'right' kind of strapless bustier is the most flattering silhouette to the female form (particularly to the not-so-lofty-chested type of girl like myself). But (quote: what I mentioned in a past post) - "I don't just fall for any strapless bustier top - I have my standards". A spunky black bustier is always "my-type" but a spunky black leather bustier like this marvelous Jaggar piece is the type that I fall head-over heals for. Kudos to this warmer weather for allowing my little obsession to run rampant :D. I can't wait to get more wear out of this leather beauty!

BLOSSOM

Spring is finally paying its visit, and isn't it just the perfect time to add a dash of floral our out get-ups? I'm not easily seduced into the realms of florals (so I seldom wear them) unless they are simultaneously delicate and spunky as in this Cameo number. The rad cross back is also a huge plus for me. I wore this pretty piece during a delightful brunch event last week - I can't wait to get more wear out of it as we ease into the warmer months...

LBD

Hello cuties! So spring is here, and the sun is finally smiling down on us. Perhaps I'm a bit too excited for this warmer weather, but I've got so many delightful wardrobe newbies that were sitting tight in  hibernation, in wait for the temperature to reach the mid-twenties (at least). So this post is a little ode to one of the most coveted fashion cliche's, the LBD ("Little black dress"). I think the success of this cliche is more about what it represents than just the dress itself - A simply effortless black dress that is spunky, sexy and classy simultaneously. This is my favorite rendition of the LBD, marvelously done by Keepsake. I'm smitten this this combination of beautiful cut-outs, sweeping low neckline and playful silhouette!
