HONEY COMB

Tasfia is wearing:
shoes ALEXANDER WANG
bag DEADLY PONIES
sunglasses RAY BAN
watch MICHAEL KORS
rings ESTELLE DEVE and KEEPSAKE

I'm wearing
sunglasses SHAKUHACHI
necklace MANIA MANIA

As I mentioned earlier, In Brisbane, cold weather only makes occasional visits during the winter - so it is permissible to wear cute little mini and strapless dresses (almost) all year long!
Carrying on from the fatal attraction conversation from the last post, another clothing category with which I share a strongly magnetic attraction is low neck, midi-length, sheer paneled dresses (quite specific, yes). The newest target of my affections is this Shakuhachi Honey Comb dress. Plus the fact that this beauty is in my favorite shade on the colour wheel just makes it all the more perfect!

Tasfia is wearing this masterpiece of a dress by Shakuhachi - fusing the cutest neoprene silhouette with a unique fractal-esque marble print and bonded with beading!

ROSES ARE RED...

I'm wearing:
top KEEPSAKE
skirt ESKA ALIKAI via Alterior Motif, Similar here and here
boots TONY BIANCO
jacket EMMA MULHOLLLAND
bag PROENZA SCHOULER
necklace LUV AJ
sunglasses KSUBI

Roses are red, my jacket is blue, "if you don't stop this lame rhyme, I may just unfollow you" (is probably what you are thinking, right?)

There is no denying that strapless bustier tops and I have a fatal attraction going on between us. My current bustier collection is so sizeable that I couldn’t even count them all on all my fingers (and toes) combined. But I have my standards. I don’t fall for just any strapless top…
It is rare to find pieces where elegance and spunky-ness intersect. This delightful Keepsake bustier is a delightful example. I love the beautiful flattering bustier silhouette, combined with the rad top/neckline and mystical digital-print rose. Plus, with the cold weather gradually seeping in, it has become all the more fun to wear black, boots, leather and outerwear (especially all together) although I am seriously lacking in the leather-jacket department (I usually lean on Tasfia’s relatively extensive leather jacket collection but this winter she is in Sydney :’().  Any suggestions for a cool leather jacket that you think would be on friendly terms with the rest of the pieces in my wardrobe?

DOUBLE TROUBLE

Tasfia is wearing:
sunglasses RAY BAN
bag DEADLY PONIES

I'm wearing:
bag TORY BURCH
shoes NIKE (similar here and here
jeans EVIL TWIN
necklace SASS AND BIDE

You may've noticed that recently I've developed a bit of a habit for wearing double ups of a single colour, whether it be delicious pastels or all black. I'm no expert, but my little trick to preventing monochromatic outfits from falling flat is by wearing unique pieces (in terms of their silhouette or pattern). For example, delightfully interesting Front Row Shop shirt which plays a little mimicry game of the traditional double breasted blazer - So clever! In Tasfia's case, I love how well the beautiful woolen turtle neck and panelled leggings marry together - slightly secret agent like and oh so sassy.

BLUSH

I'm wearing:
pants FRONT ROW shop (currently on sale!) other colours black, red and blue
coat COS (similar here and here)
top ZARA (similar here

There is no denying that pink has been/is and eternally will be my absolute favourite colour. When shopping, I always tend to gravitate towards the pink pieces and perhaps because of their rarity, I'm all the more attracted to them. The Brisbane weather at the moment occasionally chooses to grace us with bouts of cold weather now and then - to which I rejoice because it gives me the opportunity to wear the major 75% of my closet occupied by coats and jackets.

As much as I love the cold weather, I'm a bit too sensitive and lower temperatures tend to induce me into comfort-driven dressing. Hence wide leg pants - like this delightful pair from Front Row shop become a closet staple.

MIRAGE

Tasfia is wearing:
bag DEADLY PONIES
watch MICHAEL KORS
earrings KAREN WALKER

I'm wearing
shoes STELLA MCARTNEY
bag PROENZA SCHOULER

It is once in a blue moon that I come across a print so divine that 'love at first sight comes into the equation'. This beautiful Mary Katrantzou dress is one such rare gem. This dress reminds me of a desert mirage, meets Haruki Murakami's magical realism meets the Brothers Grimm's fairytales = triple ticks. Tasfia is wearing her spiffy Dion Lee skirt that has finally made its way onto the blog - It is such a shame that blogger distorts my photos to such an extent that you can't really tell how fantastic this fluoro criss-cross print really is.

INVERSION

boots: TONY BIANCO

My unfaltering love of leopard print (and generally the entire animal-print paradigm) I'm sure, is of no surprise to many of you - They've sure had their time in the sun on this space a gargantuan number of times! My wardrobe has openly welcomed over so many leopard printed pieces over the years, that its acceptance  of pieces of the leopard-variety have almost reached saturation point. However, something my wardrobe wasn't prepared to face was this rad black and white May the Label leopard-printed duo. I love this unique twist on my favourite print and the combination of white and black and black and on white renditions of this print which has made it irresistible to me. My wardrobe for sure, will always have room for this spiffy little set!

THE MALDIVES III

Better 5 months late than never, right? Because of the constant influx of new content over the last couple of months, It seems I've been perpetually stalling this post. I thought of not posting it at all as it is seemingly so out of the blue, but then I remembered the love that went into each and every one of these shots. So with posting this, It is now or never.
Here is our third travel diary from a place that truly satisfies the "heaven on earth" cliche - the Maldives (see the first two posts here and here for a refresher) .

Over the last 21 years, we've been lucky enough to traverse a number of charming places across the globe. From that I understand that each and every single place has its different appeals and suits a different taste or a different perspective of adventure that one is looking for when going on vacation. But saying that, I think the Maldives are a slice of heaven that everyone deserves to treat themselves to at least once in their life time.  The Maldives have everything that one would look for in an island getaway (and more) that it is too frighteningly perfect and picturesque...
