I've only recently begun to pick up, that simple does not necessarily have to equate to boring. Simplicity, can when excuted right, be synonymous to impact-fullness and there are no tricks to it. Simplicity is simple. I think it is all about finding simple silhouettes that work well together to have an overall additive or even a synergistic effect. I think this definitely varies personally.
For me, it was only recently at a sample sale a few weeks ago, that I noticed how picky a dresser I really am - particularly when it comes to which silhouettes I think work together harmoniously. You may have noticed, that unlike Tasfia, I seldom where skinny jeans or 'short shorts' and even oversized tops are rare for me. This has got less to do with what I feel like is flattering on me, and which sillouhette combinations I feel are really compatible in terms of my seemingly narrow-focused aesthetic. One of my classic, fail safe, go- to (… add more positive outfit-related cliche's here) combinations are paring fitted, sleeveless, low neck tops with relaxed, longer bottoms, which I suppose is the focus of this post. I love maintaining a balance between structure and flow in my outfits. For the above reasons and more, I've recent'y grown smitten over this delightful Cameo Jumpsuit. It combines my two favourite wardrobe pieces, amplifying the delightfulness of my most coveted silhouettes.

My second regime in conquering impact-ful simplicity is finding obvious, expected silhouettes with an interesting twist. For example these rad window-esque cutout Evil twin boyfriend jeans which pretty much look superb whatever they are paired with!
