SUNDAY SIMPLICITY

jumpsuit FINDERS KEEPERS, shoes STELLA MCARTNEY, bag CASSANDRA LA, jacket ADIDAS, sunglasses SHAKUHACHI

I've only recently begun to pick up, that simple does not necessarily have to equate to boring. Simplicity, can when excuted right, be synonymous to impact-fullness and there are no tricks to it. Simplicity is simple. I think it is all about finding simple silhouettes that work well together to have an overall additive or even a synergistic effect. I think this definitely varies personally.

For me, it was only recently at a sample sale a few weeks ago,  that I noticed how picky a dresser I really am - particularly when it comes to which silhouettes I think work together harmoniously.  You may have noticed, that unlike Tasfia, I seldom where skinny jeans or 'short shorts' and even oversized tops are rare for me. This has got less to do with what I feel like is flattering on me, and which sillouhette combinations I feel are really compatible in terms of my seemingly narrow-focused aesthetic. One of my classic, fail safe, go- to (… add more positive outfit-related cliche's here) combinations are paring fitted, sleeveless, low neck tops with relaxed, longer bottoms, which I suppose is the focus of this post. I love maintaining a balance between structure and flow in my outfits. For the above reasons and more, I've recent'y grown smitten over this delightful Cameo Jumpsuit. It combines my two favourite wardrobe pieces, amplifying the delightfulness of my most coveted silhouettes.

My second regime in conquering impact-ful simplicity is finding obvious, expected silhouettes with an interesting twist. For example these rad window-esque cutout Evil twin boyfriend jeans which pretty much look superb whatever they are paired with!

  3. Great choices! I know what you mean about having a 'go to' preference for style and I think it's something we all evolve over time... and probably change too (once we hit middle age ha ha ha)

  6. Wow, absolutely gorgeous looks, but those jeans with cut out detailing on the knees, just stole my heart, they looks so edgy, but honestly to be able to wear these jeans one better have beautiful knees like yours, otherwise it will look funny. <3 xoxo

  15. I agree that simplicity is key, and when done well looks unbelievable. I'm always in a battle between simplicity and statement pieces but my overall goal is to be classic so that usually helps me out! Loved your looks at MBFWA btw! ;-)
