I'm wearing: top KEEPSAKE, short ALPHA 60 (similar here and here), shoes ALEXANDER WANG, bag CASSANDRA LA, sunglasses KSUBI via ALTERIOR MOTIF
All black everything. I have always loved its understated provocativeness. It came so naturally to me in my younger years but somehow I grew out of it and feel more at ease wearing combinations of colours and prints. I feel that all black makes you feel stripped bare by another layer - you don't have colour combinations and patterns to lean on, only shapes and sillhouettes. Recently I've been progressively easing back into all black, at a stride length no greater than 'baby steps'. As a mentioned a couple of posts ago, I don't think my style is really evolving per se, but rather the spectrum of my fashion repertoire is expanding :)
My general rule of thumb when wearing all black is working a 3:1 ratio - 3 parts 'interesting' shape or texture and 1 part simplicity. In this case, the three parts go out to my hot new Keepsake the Label bustier crop top, sassy Wangs and furry studded bag. This is is all balanced out by the simple flow of these Alpha 60 shorts which I swear is BFF to all my bustiers tops.
